So my buddy shawnis was here visiting this last week and we did many things ranging from drinking, eating, video games and even some golf here in Portland during his stay. Of all my favorite past times and even some new things we accomplished alot in 4 days of pure bro-age, however the amount of bro untapped was staggering towards the last day. So what did we do to rectify this???
We ate cheap fuckin steaks and saw some titties at the same time! You’ve got to be thinking to yourself “where the help did they manage to do that at?!?” and the answer is Acropolis. The owner of the Acropolis is also the owner of a cattle farm so he provides the meat super cheap! All in all $6 fed us a juicy ribeye, baked potato and garlic bread on top of that new castle was on tap!
Acrop wasn’t the cleanest nor were the girls the best but you’ll be damn sure the steaks, titties and new castle will bring me back again and again!
Pictured below is an Oregon brewed terminator stout from mcmenamins pub. It was delicious, I wish I had more of it, I wish I had someone to enjoy it with. I need an Oregon drinking buddy since I’m sans two of the best in the business (drinking buddies Jeff and Kai) I’m accepting drinking buddy applications now!
So words only post, of randomness, cheah. I’m playing Warcraft again to Victoria’s dismay, it’s bum deals but all I want to do is come home and play, everything else is lame. I wish I could quit but that damn expansion is coming out, I’m probably locked back into the game for the long haul since I’m lame like that. Good thing I don’t have a social life anyways, meh.
Side from the bum stuff I got plenty to do but nil motivation to do em. Here’s a list for no reason…
• Put coilovers and my SSR’s on the bunny
• Install the iPod deck in the bunny
• Clay and wax the bunny (gotta do this fer sure before winter!)
• Hang the rest of my framed prints
• Take a damn vacation
Uh, I had a longer list but I actually forgot half of it oh well, it’ll come later or never, whatevs. I also thought I had more to write about but I don’t, I truly am that lame.
1st off, sorry… it’s been awhile, I’m pretty fuckin lazy, it wont (will) happen again, promise.
Anyways, yesterday brought some newness (and future newness) to my iTunes library. Apparently Minus the Bear released an acoustic EP via the interweb and I was totally unaware (indie cred -2 for not knowing that years in advance) Thanks to a new iTunes plugin iConcertcal I was informed of my missed album purchase for the bear and promptly ordered it. Also thanks to iConcertcal I also found out a new These Arms Are Snakes album dropped as well… after seeing them in concert last month for the 1st time you’d think I’d know this stuff well in advance, I’m slipping at my old age. The new bear EP was promptly ordered and downloaded and the new snakes LP is shipping as of today and coming shortly. Thanks much to iConcertcal which is a must have for any music nerd that uses iTunes, the plugin works as a visualizer and browses your library to find out album releases and concerts based on the music you have in your library, I’ve got some new concerts to plan out now as a result!
Thanks to Kai, Dr. Dre and Ben Folds Five I had a great day yesterday. Long ago Mr. Kai debuted Ben Folds Five covering Dr. Dre’s “Bitches ain’t shit” early in the morning for me at Sure Shot while I drank away some awesome coffee. Youtubing the other day I came across a recorded live performance of the awesome cover and now I’d like to share it with you!
Finally to end this slightly long, slightly stupid post, I’m older… and now I know it! I’ve always had some sort of printed artwork or posters in my apartments for a long time, however they were always hung via tape, a tack, or something of the like, so teenager, young adult-ish. With my new apartment in Oregon I felt it a good idea to maybe start framing my prints especially cause some of them cost a pretty penny and I intend to keep them around for a long time. Framing some of my 1st prints I’ve felt a coming of age almost, considering framed artwork is so old people-like, I currently have about 7 prints framed with many more to come. As I finish framing the prints I have left I’ll eventually take pics and post them up and such, that might take awhile though however as framing prints cost an arm and a fucking leg!

A little late posting this… now that I know the camera records pretty damn decent video for a point-n-click I’ll continually post videos of shows I goto as I take them. This is the last one for awhile, or until another awesome band rolls through PDX anyways, cheers!
